Battery Manufacturing Plant, AZ
Construction for this 2Msf, $2B facility and site development is completing in late 2026. Project features include a 260MW utility substation, 12.47kV power distribution, more than 70 unit substations, manufacturing, and support buildings.

FIRST RESPONDER FACILITY
2025
City of Surprise Fire Stations #309 / #310
Two of many police and fire stations in our portfolio, Fire Station 309 was completed in 2025 as part of the Surprise Pool and Park development with a construction budget for the development exceeding $50M. Volta completed site and facility electrical design for both facilities. Fire station features include a station alert system and 100% backup power supply. Fire Station 310 is currently in design and begins construction late 2026.

MUNICIPAL FACILITY
2024
Pinal County Elections Facility, Florence, AZ
The Pinal County Elections Facility is a 53,000-square-foot secure operations center with an approximate $25 million construction value, completed in 2024 to support countywide elections processing and protected ballot storage. Designed to meet stringent security and reliability requirements, the facility integrates controlled access systems and hardened infrastructure throughout the site and building. Volta served as the Electrical Engineer of Record, delivering comprehensive electrical design for both the facility and site systems. The project includes a robust emergency generator plant to ensure uninterrupted operations during critical election activities.

MICROELECTRONIC FABRICATION
2021
FujiFilm Facility Expansion, Mesa, AZ
Project features include cleanroom, tool install, raw material warehouse, two-story office building, UPS power distribution, and EMI mitigation.

INDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING
2018
Confidential Client, Phoenix, AZ
This 20,000-square-foot ammunition manufacturing facility in the Phoenix metropolitan area, Arizona, completed in 2018, was designed to support specialized industrial production processes within a controlled environment. The project included high bay lighting, power distribution for industrial machinery, and integrated special systems infrastructure tailored to manufacturing operations. Hazardous area classifications were carefully coordinated to ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety standards. Volta served as the Electrical Engineer of Record, providing comprehensive electrical design to support safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.

EMERGENCY OPERATIONS / MISSION CRITICAL
2014
Maricopa County Sheriff’s HQ, Phoenix, AZ
Located in downtown Phoenix, this 5-story multi-jurisdictional hardened facility completed construction in 2014. One of the first local facilities of this scale engineered under NEC Article 708 for critical operations, the facility has a distributed redundant power supply with layers of emergency and UPS power distribution throughout. The facility houses a 911 call center, NOC, data center, and multiple departments.

WASTE / WASTEWATER
2008
City of Surprise SPA 1, 8.0MGD Water Reclamation Facility
This wastewater treatment plant features influent, effluent, solids, and oxidation processes in addition to facility management offices. Electrical features include power distribution, advanced motor controls, process instrumentation, and backup power.
